we are
Deep East TX is a design lab for custom apparel with local flair. We are launching the project with our first design and logo! Each month this year, we will release a new design inspired by Southeast Texas.
We are two moms who were brought together by the same tragedy of losing our husbands to suicide and raising our children by returning to the place we grew up.
Deep East TX is an inquiry into place, Southeast Texas. We are exploring our connection to the region through our pasts and our present, our families, our friends, and most of all through each other.
What makes this area special? How can we rediscover a connection through loss? Is it true that there is no place like home? These are the questions we aim to answer through thoughtful design and reflection on this corner of Texas that we call “home”.
